PASADENA, July 16, 2014 -- Sheldon Mak & Anderson, PC is pleased to announce that six of its attorneys have joined the firm of Leech Tishman effective Wednesday, July 16, 2014.

Jeffrey Sheldon, Danton Mak and Denton Anderson have joined the firm as Partners, while Laura Lloyd, Douglas Morseburg and Katherine Bond join as Counsel. Katherine Sales will also be making the move to Leech Tishman as a Patent Agent. The other three California offices located in Riverside, Upland and Orange County will be operated by Leech Tishman.  Court Rules Copyright Ownership Can Be Transferred Using Electronic Signature
In a matter of first impression, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that an electronic signature can create a legally binding agreement to transfer copyright ownership. The decision relied on the federal E-Sign Act of 2000, which clarified that contracts cannot be invalidated simply because the signature is in electronic form.
